In 1932, some small bones were found near the town of Lightning Ridge in New South Wales.

The bones that were found were part of the backbone of a dinosaur. They probably came from the tail of a dinosaur. No other bones have been found.

This means that scientists don't know a lot about this dinosaur. They don't know how big it was or what it might have looked like.

Walgettosuchus is named after the town of Walgett in New South Wales. The word 'suchus' means crocodile.
