Have you seen cockroaches in your house? They can be found in many places. Best of all, they like places where food is prepared or eaten. Cockroaches will eat almost anything. They will eat scraps of food from the floor and they will eat plants.  They will eat paper or  your leftover dinner. You don't see most cockroaches because they hide in the day and come out when it is dark.

Breeding

Sometimes you might find baby cockroaches in your house. The female lays between 20 and 40 eggs in a hard shell. She carries the shell until she can find a dark, damp place to hide it.

Young cockroaches molt (lose their skin) for about seven months and then they are adults. Then they start breeding and they breed often. Cockroaches live for up to two years.
