Sinbad

Elton is  watching you!

The Arabian city of Aden was ruled by King Abdul, an evil and greedy king who treated his people very badly. King Abdul's ships, called dhows, sailed widely through the Indian Ocean. The captains of the dhows traded and brought treasures back to Aden. Over the years, King Abdul grew richer and greedier.

One of the captains was Sinbad. He felt sick every time he returned to Aden. He saw that the people poor and hungry and he was forced to deliver his riches to the palace of the King.

On one of his journeys, Sinbad discovered a magic amulet. Whenever he wore the amulet, Sinbad was able to make a genie appear; and the genie would obey his commands.

As Sinbad sailed his dhow back into the port of Aden, he saw the King's soldiers waiting for him. King Abdul had heard about the magic amulet and he was worried. He wanted the magic amulet for himself.

Sinbad put on the amulet. The genie appeared and, following Sinbad's orders, he turned all of the soldiers' weapons into water. Holding their curved swords over their heads, Sinbad and his men marched into the King's palace. The King was put in jail.

Sinbad became the new king. With the help of the magic amulet and the genie, Sinbad made sure that his people were no longer hungry or poor.
